Report a non-compliance concern

Therefore, it is crucial that our company has a solid reporting system that allows us to listen to anyone along our value chain about any non-compliance problem.

We encourage our employees to speak if they notice any incidents of harassment, discrimination, abuse of power, harassment, fraud, corruption or conflict of interest. This includes any behavior that goes against our Corporate Business Principles (pdf,) or the Business Code of Conduct (pdf,)

We do everything possible to ensure that our company is managed in accordance with our ethical commitments. You can help us by reporting any non-compliance problem through our Transparency system. This is operated independently and offers you anonymity if you wish.

How to report a compliance concern

Here you will find all the information you need to report a violation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

  1. Submit your report through a web form or call a toll-free number to leave a message. Start a report.
  2. Include a detailed description of your concern (who, what, when, how) and attach supporting evidence, such as copies of documents or names of witnesses, that can corroborate your report. Please note that general allegations cannot be investigated.
  3. Once you have submitted your report, you will receive an individual case number. You will need this number each time you access the system.
  4. We take all compliance concerns seriously and will take appropriate action on each report. We will keep you informed of our progress accordingly.

What happens after you submit a report

Once you have submitted your report, it will go through several stages. Here is what will happen next.

1. Record of your report

We will acknowledge receipt of your message within five business days. If your initial report does not contain sufficient information/evidence for processing, you will be asked to provide additional information/evidence.

2. Triage

Each report is carefully reviewed. We will open a case if your report includes minimal actionable information and evidence. The investigation will be led by our transparency team.

3. Escalation

Reports containing allegations in one of these 11 sensitive categories will be escalated to the Group Compliance Officer and the Head of Legal and Compliance for the respective region.

  1. Abuse of power and/or harassment
  2. Antitrust and fair dealing
  3. Bribery and corruption
  4. Confidential information, privacy policy
  5. Discrimination, harassment, and violence
  6. Executive Board Members / Senior Executives in EE.UU.
  7. Fraud
  8. Human rights
  9. Management Committee related members
  10. Violation of the WHO Code
  11. Sexual harassment

4. Confidential investigation

To ensure the confidentiality of the investigation, we will only involve individuals who need to be part of it. Our Transparence Officers may conduct confidential interviews with employees, contractors, or anyone they deem relevant to the investigation. As a general practice, the conclusion of an investigation typically takes around 90 days. However, in more complex cases, we may require additional time.

5. You'll receive a decision

After reviewing all the findings of the investigation, we will determine whether it is necessary to take any further action. We will keep you informed of the progress and provide a final response detailing the outcome of the investigation.

Our corporate transparency policy prohibits any retaliation against an employee, individual, or entity that has filed a report. We will also safeguard the rights of any implicated person.
